    Microneedling

    Definition

A collagen induction therapy that uses tiny sterile needles to create controlled micro-injuries, triggering the skin's natural healing and collagen production.

Microneedling — also known as collagen induction therapy (CIT) — is a minimally invasive skin treatment that uses a device equipped with fine, sterile needles to create thousands of controlled micro-channels in the skin. These tiny injuries trigger the body's wound-healing response, stimulating a surge of collagen and elastin production that remodels and resurfaces the skin over time.

    What Does Microneedling Treat?

    • Acne scars (rolling, boxcar, and some ice pick scars)
    • Fine lines and wrinkles
    • Enlarged pores
    • Uneven skin texture and tone
    • Stretch marks
    • Hyperpigmentation and sun damage

    The Treatment Process

At SKIN Las Vegas, we apply a topical numbing cream 30 minutes before treatment. The microneedling itself takes 20–30 minutes for a full face. Needle depth is adjusted based on the treatment area and concern — deeper for scars, shallower for general rejuvenation. After treatment, the skin appears red for 24–48 hours, similar to a mild sunburn.

ℹ️ Good to KnowMicroneedling at SKIN Las Vegas starts at $199 per session. We recommend 3–6 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart for acne scarring, with maintenance every 6–12 months.
